At Carson UMC, our choir is open to all who are willing to make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Whether you’ve been singing for years or just love to lift your voice in worship, there’s a place for you here.
Our music is as diverse as our congregation—we sing in parts, in unison, and everything in between. From traditional hymns to modern worship songs, and even the occasional show tune or popular song when fitting, we embrace a variety of styles to enhance our worship experience.
We rehearse from 6:00–7:30 PM on the second Thursday of each month from September through May and meet again at 10:30 AM on Sundays before we sing in the service. Additional rehearsals will be scheduled as needed for special services for Holy Week/Easter and Christmas. During the summer months (June–August), we welcome soloists and ensembles—both vocal and instrumental—to provide special music.
Come sing with us and be part of a welcoming, joyful musical community!
On this page you will find the music we are rehearsing, links to familiarize yourself with the songs, the date we plan to sing each song, and other information necessary for the choir.

We'll sing to this track and let the background vocals fill us out.
There is a solo at the beginning and end. If you are interested in singing this solo, please let me know ASAP.
There is a small solo towards the middle of the piece. If you are interested in singing this solo, please let me know ASAP.
We may perform to this track, so I am able to direct, or I may play it live on keys.
We'll discuss this at rehearsal on 2/13.
We'll be having a bit of fun this day!!! We'll sing "Ecce Homo Qui Est Faba" for sure. This translates to "Behold the man who is the bean". We'll work out parts, etc. Sopranos, we can also adjust octaves if you are uncomfortable with the high notes!
